Product Manager, Smart Grid Analysis Software
The successful candidate will have a sound background the development and deployment of key utility business and operational systems such as the Energy Control System, Distribution Management System, Geographic Information System, Outage Management System, and/or Power Flow Analysis System. This experience should include development of functional requirements or the development or response to requests for proposal. Prior experience as a utility application product manager is a plus.
The candidate will have a strong command of the relevant IEEE/IEC standards (CIM, IEC61850, etc.) related to the development and integration of these applications. The candidate must also have a strong command of relevant IT standards and methods that will ensure customer acceptance and ease of integration with existing systems.
The Product Manager – Smart Grid Analysis Software will report directly to the VP of Product Management. This position may be filled at the Director of Product Management level if experience warrants.
Education and Experience:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- 7 Years Experience in Utility ECS, DMS, GIS, OMS and/or Real Time Control Systems software development and deployment
- 2 Years Experience as an Lead Developer, Project Manager or Manager
- Experience interacting directly with and providing solutions for electric system operations, maintenance, planning or engineering

- Analysis of Market, Competitors, Potential Partners
- Travel is required
Skills:
- High level understanding of the electric utility business issues, technical issues, regulatory issues
- Adeptness in working with cross-functional teams in order to meet a common goal or objective
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic with good communication and oral presentation skills.
- Ability to relate to both technical and non-technical audiences
